Local newspaper articles covering our story and our promotional poster

I never stop being overwhelmed by how strong David is. I tell him day in and day out that it's not just our friends and the police who want to help us, it's complete strangers as well. We just want to be together as a family for as long as we possibly can.

Almina Robinson

David and Almina have had such a difficult year that they've been due some good news.

Getting married, expecting their first child and watching their fund grow so quickly is just what they deserve.

After the ride, people were saying to me "I bet you never want to see a bike again", but, if anything, it's made us more determined than ever to do everything we can to help.

Sergeant Nick White

People keep saying to us that we've packed a lot into a couple of weeks, but that's the way it has to be. It's been a rollercoaster. It's just good stuff happening to us at the moment. Even the midwives knew who we were because they'd seen the stories in the Mercury - they were absolutely brilliant and there was even a quick whip-round for David's fund.

Almina Robinson

At the moment, the chemotherapy makes me feel tired and a little bit sick, but nothing I can complain about. It's nothing I can't handle.

David Robinson

It's been a fairytale few weeks for them. Everyone is so happy for them.

Lois Davies

But the icing on the cake for all of us will be when we send him off on a plane to America.

Sergeant Nick White

We had some trouble a while back with shoplifting and break-ins and the police were fantastic and David was one of the first officers to help us.

Jenny Witty (shop manager)

I'd been reading the stories about them in the Mercury and I just wanted to do whatever I could to help them.

Claire Granger-Clark

I'll be part of a team of about 14 people raising money for various good causes.

I couldn't think of a better cause than David and I want to do everything I can to raise the profile of his campaign. It's very simple, he's a young guy who needs our help.

Glen Turner

It's amazing to have raised so much in a relatively short time. It's even more amazing to know that so many generous people we don't even know have contributed to that.
